Pressure mounts on Armenia ahead of COP29 -

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will respond to Baku's invitation to COP29 at his first press conference after returning from vacation.

Axar.az reports that an unnamed source in the Armenian government informed "Hraparak" about this.

The publication states that an official invitation has been sent to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to participate in the summit to be held in Baku. However, the Yerevan government remains silent.

The source in the government revealed that the Armenian leadership has made a decision on the matter but is cautious about the public's strong reaction.

Another claim suggests that the West has increased pressure on Yerevan to sign a peace agreement with Baku before COP29. Armenia has been advised to use the summit in November as an opportunity to sign the agreement.

It should be noted that earlier it was reported that Pashinyan would respond to Baku's invitation after August 15.
