Yesterday in the city of Binyamin, a drone attack by Hezbollah resulted in the deaths of 4 people and injuries to 67 others, demonstrating the increasing threat of drones in modern warfare.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the "Jerusalem Post".

According to the publication the strike was carried out using Hezbollah's long-utilized Mirsad-1 drone:

"The Mirsad-1 is adapted for Hezbollah operations based on Iran's "Mohajer-2" drone model. Capable of carrying up to 40 kilograms of explosives, the drone can reach speeds of 370 kilometers per hour and travel a distance of 120 kilometers. Since 2002, Hezbollah has used the Mirsad-1 for reconnaissance and strike missions to penetrate Israeli airspace."

It has been reported that during the attack on Binyamin (the military base south of Haifa), Hezbollah launched several drones under rocket fire, a tactic aimed at disrupting Israeli defense systems. One of the drones was able to evade Israeli air defense systems and reach the Binyamin area.

According to a report by Israel’s "Defense Industry Daily," this is not the first instance of the Mirsad-1 breaching Israeli defenses. Earlier this year, Hezbollah drones had also circled over Israel before returning to Lebanon.

It is noteworthy that during the attack by the Hezbollah drone deep into Israeli territory (Haifa), the inability of radar systems to detect it and the failure of sirens to activate created a shocking effect.
