Esmail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC, who had been missing for two weeks, has resurfaced.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Iranian media.

He was seen at a ceremony in Beirut for the repatriation of the body of IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan, who was killed alongside Hassan Nasrallah.

Although there was no explanation regarding Qaani's whereabouts during this period, Iranian television implied that he had returned from Lebanon with Nilforoushan's body.

It should be noted that contact with Esmail Qaani was lost following Israeli airstrikes south of Beirut on September 27.

Unofficial reports suggest that he and several other IRGC commanders were detained and interrogated in connection with Nasrallah's death. There were also claims that he suffered a heart attack during questioning. The Secretary-General of the Arab Islamic Council, Seyid Muhammad Ali al-Husseini, stated that Qaani is an Israeli agent.
