In the US, a tour bus returning to New York City from Niagara Falls has crashed on a major road, killing five people and injuring many others.
Axar.az informs, citing Sky news, the bus, with 54 passengers on board, crashed and rolled on Interstate 90 near Pembroke, about 48km east of Buffalo, in New York State, at around 12.30pm (8.30pm Baku time).
At a later news conference, state police major Andre Ray said that the driver had become distracted, lost control and overcorrected before the bus went into the right shoulder and flipped over.
Five adults were pronounced dead at the scene, he continued, adding that the passengers were aged between one and 74.
Mr Ray added that a preliminary investigation had ruled out mechanical failure or driver impairment, and that the driver survived the crash and was cooperating with police.
No charges had been filed as of Friday evening.
