French President Emmanuel Macron has reiterated his intention to resign amid tensions over the country's debt situation and the 2026 budget. He said at a press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Toulon that he would continue his presidency until the end.
Axar.az reports that Macron called on political parties to act responsibly and find ways to compromise in the face of the country's financial problems. According to him, the current situation is by no means hopeless, and there should be at least a common understanding regarding the current situation.
"The French Bayrou is right to call on political forces to be responsible in the face of the country's debt burden. There may be differences of opinion on various solutions, but a common understanding must be formed on the gravity of the situation," Macron stressed.
