The Palestinian Hamas movement is not negotiating with Washington to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Axar.az reports that an unnamed Hamas member told Al Arabiya TV channel about this while commenting on US President Donald Trump's statement on negotiations with the movement.

"The information about direct or indirect negotiations with Washington is not true," a Hamas source said.

In addition, the source noted that the movement is ready for any proposals that would allow for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave, and the provision of humanitarian aid.
