A man in his 40s was arrested on Monday afternoon, near the start of the Rosh Hashanah holiday, by police officers in Kiryat Gat, after he entered the station and publicly threatened to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Axar.az informs, citing Jeruselam Post, police prosecution is set to issue a fast-paced indictment against him today, and will request that he be apprehended until the termination of legal proceedings against him.

In his threats, the man described his plans to acquire a gun and fire three shots at the prime minister.

He was arrested on the spot and interrogated by authorities. After his interrogation, he was imprisoned, and his sentence was extended.
