Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow did not believe that Washington had taken a final decision on supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine.
Axar.az informs, citing TASS, “I think this is primarily the result of Europe pressuring Washington, and Washington wants to show that it takes its allies’ opinions into account. I don’t think we are already dealing with a final decision,” the minister said.
He told reporters that if Tomahawk cruise missiles were delivered to Ukraine, it would not affect the situation on the battlefield.
“Americans do not supply Tomahawks to just anyone. Among Europeans, if I’m not mistaken, only Spain and the Netherlands have received them; for others, they are cautious. And if they believe that Ukraine is a responsible state that will use them [Tomahawk missiles] responsibly, that would be surprising to me,” he added.
