EU’s Costa urges Gaza ceasefire and hostage release

Hostages in Gaza must be released, a ceasefire must be achieved, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid must be ensured.

Axar.az reports that the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, wrote about this on his social network X.

"Peace in Gaza can finally be achieved. Hamas's response to the US President's peace proposal is an important step forward. Now, the release of hostages, a ceasefire, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid must be ensured consistently. I call on all parties to act promptly and responsibly," Costa stressed.

He also noted that the EU will continue to support efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, together with its partners.
