One of the longest-lasting magnetic storms, which lasted about four days, has ended.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by Sergey Bogachev, head of the solar astronomy laboratory of the Institute for Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to the scientist, the main planetary index used to mark the beginning and end of geomagnetic storms has already fallen into the green zone:
"Based on data from ground-based magnetometers and measurements of the solar wind, the magnetic storm that lasted the whole week has ended. Rapid stabilization is observed in the geomagnetic state of the Earth."
