Rubio: Israel-Hamas talks don’t mean war is over

Ongoing talks between Israel and Hamas do not yet mean the war is over.

Axar.az reports that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this.

“The ongoing negotiations between Hamas and Israel do not yet signify the end of the war, and establishing a group to govern Gaza will take time. Everyone, including Israel, has agreed that eventually this process will result in Gaza being managed by a non-Hamas, non-terrorist Palestinian group, with the assistance, support, and leadership of an international consortium, like a Gaza peace council. You cannot create a governance structure in Gaza independent of Hamas in just three days,” he said.
