Zelensky reports 12,000 Russian casualties in Donetsk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the progress of the counteroffensive operation conducted by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the direction of Dobropol, Donetsk region.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky made this announcement in his evening address to the nation.

Zelensky said that he listened to a nearly hour-long report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrsky, on all directions of the front line, the preparation and supply of Ukrainian brigades:

“Special attention is currently, of course, on the Dobropol operation - the counteroffensive operation. Since its beginning to this day, the Russians have already suffered more than 12 thousand casualties, of which more than 7,200 have died.”

It should be noted that the Ukrainian army’s operation in Donetsk began on August 21.
