Syria reconsiders agreements on Russian military bases

Agreements signed during the previous government, including those concerning Russian military bases, are being reviewed.

Axar.az reports that Syrian Foreign Minister Asad al-Shaybani stated this in an interview with the “Ikhbariya” TV channel.

“Agreements made with the former regime have been suspended, and new documents have not yet been signed,” he said.

Shaybani added that the issue was on the agenda during Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharan’s visit to Moscow and his meeting with Vladimir Putin.
