Zakir Hasanov meets with US CENTCOM Commander

Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with a delegation led by the Commander of the US Central Command and Navy Admiral Brad Cooper.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry published information about this.

First, the guests visited the Alley of Martyrs and paid tribute to the memories of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland.

Welcoming the guests, the Defense Minister told them about the successful reforms carried out in the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev.

Colonel General Z. Hasanov expressed satisfaction with the measures implemented in various areas of bilateral cooperation and existing relations.

Admiral B. Cooper, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality shown, emphasizing the benefits of mutual visits for further strengthening our relations. Expressing gratitude for the contribution of the Azerbaijani Army servicemen to the "Resolute Support" non-combat mission in Afghanistan, the guest drew attention to the need to develop our cooperation.

Finally, new prospects for military cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States were discussed.
