U.S. Navy destroys drug submarine in the Caribbean

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. Navy destroyed a submarine carrying drugs in the Caribbean Sea.

Axar.az reports that Trump shared the news on his social media account.

He stated that U.S. intelligence confirmed the vessel was loaded with fentanyl and other narcotics.

“There were four people aboard the submarine — two were captured alive, and two were killed along with the vessel.

If I had allowed this submarine to reach the shore, at least 25,000 Americans could have died. The two surviving terrorists are being sent back to their home countries — Ecuador and Colombia — to face trial. No American soldiers were injured during the operation,” Trump wrote.
