Major fire erupts at Dhaka Airport, flights suspended

A major fire broke out at Dhaka International Airport in the capital of Bangladesh.

Axar.az reports that flights at the airport were suspended after the incident.

According to reports, the fire that started in the cargo area quickly spread to a wide area.

"36 fire brigades are working to put out the fire," a fire department official said.

At least 5 flights from various airlines scheduled to land in Dhaka have been diverted to other airports.

It is reported that the diverted flights will return to Dhaka after the situation at the airport normalizes.
