China stops buying Russian oil by sea

Following the US's large-scale sanctions against Rosneft and Lukoil, China's state-owned oil companies have stopped buying Russian oil by sea.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters.

It was reported that China's state-owned oil refineries buy more than 500,000 barrels of oil per day.

In addition, the corresponding step of Chinese companies coincides with the fact that India has also reduced its purchases of Russian oil.

The sharp decline in oil demand from the two largest buyers is expected to put a strain on the Russian budget.
