The war in Ukraine is at its most acute stage, but Ukrainian defenders are making certain advances.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the commander of the Ukrainian National Guard, Oleksandr Pivnenko.

‘We are currently at a critical stage: the Kupyansk, Pokrovsk and Lyman areas... But I will speak about the soldiers of the National Guard: we are holding our positions and conducting offensive operations. Separate special-purpose units are currently operating in the Pokrovsk and Kupyansk sectors. In some areas, especially in the Kupyansk sector, we are making progress.

There are also successes near the Myrnohrad district of Donetsk region. In some places we manage to stabilize the situation and force the enemy to retreat. Nevertheless, this requires time,’ he said.
