Trump raises U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods by additional 10%

The United States has increased tariffs on Canadian goods by another 10%.

Axar.az reports that U.S. President Donald Trump announced the decision on his social media account.

“Due to their serious distortions and hostile actions, I am raising tariffs on Canada by an additional 10% over what they are currently paying,” Trump stated.

It should be noted that a $75 million advertising campaign will be launched in the Canadian province of Ontario. The campaign features an audio excerpt from former U.S. President Ronald Reagan’s 1987 speech on tariffs, in which he emphasized that tariffs are ineffective in the long term.
