Axar.az reports that this was stated by Robert Kadlec, who was nominated by U.S. President Donald Trump for the position of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Security, Chemical, and Biological Defense Policy and Programs.

“I believe our strategic forces must be capable of deterring the strategic attacks of more than one nuclear power simultaneously — especially the two with the greatest potential, Russia and China. As far as I understand, the pace of China’s nuclear buildup exceeds U.S. expectations,” he said.
