Israeli Minister urges New York Jews to move to Israel

Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Shikli has called on the Jewish community living in New York City to consider returning to Israel.

Axar.az reports that Shikli made this suggestion after Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of New York City.

"A city that once symbolized universal freedom has handed over the keys to a Hamas supporter. I call on New York Jews to consider their new place in the Land of Israel," he said.

Shikli believes that Mamdani's election as mayor was an important turning point for New York City.

He added that New York City, especially for the Jewish community, will never be the same.

It should be noted that on November 5, Mamdani won the election and became mayor of New York City. Mamdani is the first Muslim to hold this position.
