US and Greece sign LNG supply agreement for Europe

The US and Greek governments have signed an agreement for the supply of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Europe.

Axar.az reports that the agreement was reached during the "Sixth Transatlantic Partnership on Energy Forum (P-TEC)" held in Athens.

It should be noted that US Secretary of State Doug Burgum said that the existing infrastructure in Europe does not allow for a complete replacement of Russian gas:

"The US and the European Union are working together to ensure that the EU completely abandons Russian gas."
