US lifts sanctions on Ahmed al-Sharaa

The US has approved the lifting of unilateral sanctions on Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement by the US Treasury Department.

It was reported that the Minister of Interior in the interim government, Enes Khattab, was also removed from the blacklist.

It should be noted that the UN Security Council adopted a resolution to remove A. Sharaa and E. Khattab from the UN sanctions list.
