Ukraine, UK tried to buy MiG-31 with hypersonic missile

Ukraine and Britain tried to entice Russian pilots to steal a MiG-31 aircraft armed with the “Dagger” hypersonic missile for $3 million.

Axar.az informs that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported this.

“The MiG-31 to be stolen was to be flown to the NATO base located in Constanța, Romania, where it would be shot down by air-defence systems. The measures taken disrupted broad-scale sabotage plans by the Ukrainian and British intelligence services,” the statement said.

The FSB added that the Russian pilot was offered $3 million and European citizenship to fly the MiG to Europe.
