Turkiye–Armenia ties see new step toward normalization

A new step is being taken toward normalizing relations between Turkiye and Armenia.

Axar.az reports that according to Haber7, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has launched an initiative to construct 10 new mosques across the country.

Five of the mosques are planned for areas near the Armenia–Turkiye border, while the remaining five will be built in major cities.

Sources close to the Armenian government report that the initiative has been endorsed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who views the project as an opportunity to strengthen cultural and religious ties between the two countries.
