Hungary's Orban defies Brussels on migrant rules

Hungary would prefer to pay the European Commission a daily fine of 1 million euros rather than abandon its zero-tolerance policy against illegal migrants and allow them into its territory.

Axar.az reports that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made this statement.

“A daily fine of 1 million euros from Brussels because we don’t let illegal migrants into the country? We will pay it. For our safety and yours. That is better than living in fear. Come to Hungary this Christmas and experience Europe as it truly is,” Orban said.
