Argentina refuses to sign G20 joint declaration

The Argentine government has refused to sign the joint declaration of G20 leaders adopted at the summit held in Johannesburg (South Africa).

Axar.az reports that Argentina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released the information.

The ministry stated that the decision was made due to a violation of consensus rules and disagreements over the geopolitical considerations mentioned in the document.

The ministry additionally emphasized that Argentina avoids taking a unilateral approach to the conflict in the Middle East. It also noted that, in Buenos Aires’ view, the declaration does not reflect the regional context or the fundamental structural causes of the conflict.
