Kyrgyzstan holds snap parliamentary elections

Kyrgyzstan is holding snap elections.

Axar.az informs that the Kyrgyz TV channel "24 KG" reported this.

According to the information, 2,492 polling stations are operating in the country for voting.

The elections are being held under the majoritarian system: 90 deputies will be elected from 30 multi-mandate constituencies, three from each constituency.

Voting will continue until 20:00 local time (18:00 Baku time).

The results will be announced by December 14.

It should be noted that the Kyrgyz parliament dissolved itself on September 25.

Voting in the snap elections to the Jogorku Kenesh (unicameral parliament) in Kyrgyzstan has ended.

This was stated by the chairman of the Central Election Commission of the republic, Tynchtyk Shaynazarov.

2,492 polling stations were opened in the country, as well as 27 in places of mass gathering and temporary residence of people. In addition, 100 polling stations operated abroad.

According to the Central Election Commission, 4,294,243 citizens were included in the final list of voters.
