Turkish president Erdogan to visit Tehran

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman has said that cooardination is underway to set a date for the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Tehran.

Axar.az informs, citing Mehr News Agency, "Regarding the Turkish President's visit to Iran, coordination is ongoing; the trip has been agreed upon in principle," said Esmaeil Baghaei in a press conference on Monday.

"My colleagues are discussing the exact date of the trip to set a due time," the spokesman said.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visited Tehran yesterday and held talks with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
