Netherlands donating €250M for Ukraine to buy F-16 weapons

The Netherlands is allocating an additional €250 million to supply Ukraine with F-16 ammunition air defense missiles, and unmanned systems through the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL).

Axar.az informs, citing Defense Mirror, Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced this today in Brussels.

The funding will allow the Netherlands to source weapons directly from U.S. stockpiles, enabling the rapid delivery of equipment Ukraine “most urgently needs,” including air defense systems, missiles, F-16 munitions, and drones. The PURL mechanism is used for items that cannot be provided quickly enough through other channels.
