Oreshnik missile use unlikely in near future, says expert

There will be no attacks using “Oreshnik” missiles in the near future.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian aviation expert Valerii Romanenko said this.

He stated that he received this information from Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.

“I think he has the relevant information; he is a qualified professional,” Romanenko said.

According to the expert, Russia will keep this missile in reserve for some time, as it may need it to “intimidate” again ahead of any negotiations.

He noted that the missile is an experimental model and is produced individually in limited numbers. Therefore, despite statements about supplying the systems to the troops, their use in the near future is unlikely.

It should be recalled that on the night of January 8–9, the Russian army launched ballistic missile strikes on the Ukrainian city of Lviv.
