US sets record with 100,000+ visa cancellations

The US State Department canceled more than one hundred thousand visas in 2025.

Axar.az informs that Fox News reported this.

According to the report, this is twice the number in 2024 and is a record. Most of the cancellations are related to business and tourist travelers who overstayed their visas. Also, about 8 thousand students and 2,500 specialized workers lost their legal status during this period.

A department spokesman said that most of the students and workers who lost their visas were people who were involved in some form of criminal activity, according to law enforcement agencies.
