Azerbaijan halves export customs duty on hides

The customs duty applied to hides exported from Azerbaijan (hides of cattle and lambs, as well as hides of equine animals) has been reduced by half.

Axar.az reports that the Cabinet of Ministers made amendments to the “Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, import customs duty rates, and export customs duty rates” in this regard.

Under the previous rules, a customs duty of USD 500 was applied for every 1,000 kilograms of hides exported from the country until December 31, 2025. From January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, the customs duty will be reduced to USD 250 per 1,000 kilograms.
