The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to our country, Ahmed Metani.
Axar.az informs according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, warmly welcoming the guest, Minister K. Heydarov recalled that relations between Azerbaijan and Palestine, based on mutual respect and friendship, are developing on an upward trajectory.
K. Heydarov provided the ambassador with detailed information on the work carried out to prevent emergencies and eliminate their consequences in Azerbaijan, including the structure and activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and emphasized that his meeting with Director General of Civil Defense of the State of Palestine, Akram Thawabta, held in Baku last year within the framework of the 58th session of the Executive Council of the International Civil Defence Organization and the 3rd extraordinary session of the General Assembly, was productive in terms of expanding cooperation between the relevant agencies.
Expressing gratitude for the cordial meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to our country, Ahmed Metani, spoke about the prospects for the development of cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries in the field of combating emergency situations and stated that he would spare no efforts in this regard.
A broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
