US analyst supports Safavi dynasty in Iran

Michael Scott Doran, an American analyst, commentator, and scholar on international politics and the Middle East, commented on the statement of the researcher of Ottoman history, Fransevi Efendi, “I support the restoration of the Qajar dynasty in Iran and the 1906 constitution.”

Axar.az reports that Doran emphasized that he wants to see the Safavid dynasty in power in Iran:

“I support the Safavids. Shah Ismail was a far-sighted Azerbaijani monarch,” Doran emphasized.

It should be noted that Michael Doran served as the Director General of the National Security Council and Deputy for Public Diplomacy at the Pentagon during the George W. Bush administration. He openly supported the occupation of Iraq and the “regime change” policy targeting Middle Eastern countries.
