US warns Americans: 'Leave Iran now'

The virtual US Embassy for Iran warned the American citizens to exit the country "now" as nationwide unrest continues to escalate.

Axar.az informs "U.S. citizens should expect continued internet outages, plan alternative means of communication, and, if safe to do so, consider departing Iran by land to Armenia or Turkiye," the embassy said.

"Leave Iran now. Have a plan for departing Iran that does not rely on U.S. government help," it added.

The U.S. Embassy has warned U.S.-Iranian dual nationals that they must leave Iran using Iranian passports, as Iran does not recognize dual citizenship and treats them solely as Iranian citizens.
