Medvedev says Greenland could vote to join Russia

If U.S. President Donald Trump doesn’t hurry, the people of Greenland could vote to join Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said, in an ironic remark.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, “Trump needs to hurry. According to unverified information, a sudden referendum could take place in a few days, in which all 55,000 residents of Greenland could vote to join Russia. And that’s it! No new stars on the flag. Russia would then gain a new—its 90th—federal subject,” he wrote on the Max messenger.
