Lavrov says no third party can change Russia-Iran ties

No third party can change the nature of relations between Russia and Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, “I do not think that any third party can alter the fundamental nature of relations between Moscow and Tehran. This nature is based on agreements reached between the presidents of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran. It serves the interests of both states and both peoples,” Lavrov said, commenting on statements by US President Donald Trump about imposing 25 percent tariffs on all countries cooperating with Iran.
