Turkiye welcomes new US regional policy

The new US policy is not to take a direct role in regional problems, but to give responsibility to the countries of the region, and this approach coincides with our regional policy.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

H. Fidan noted that there is no reason for the US to remain in the region:

"Turkiye's position in the fight against ISIS, the importance it attaches to the territorial integrity of Syria, issues related to the rights of minorities... - when we take all this into account, there is no reason for the US to remain in the region."
