Analyst: No Trump–Pashinyan meeting in Davos

Taking a joint photo with US President Donald Trump within the framework of the protocol is important from the point of view of internal PR. However, this is to cover up the fact that there was no meeting between the Armenian Prime Minister and Trump in Davos.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Armenian political commentator Suren Sargsyan.

He noted that it is incomprehensible that Trump did not meet with the Armenian Prime Minister in person, while he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to S. Sargsyan, the US usually tries to maintain regional balance:

“Trump and Aliyev also discussed the TRIPP initiative during the meeting. Within the framework of the Davos Economic Forum, Trump held bilateral meetings with only two leaders — with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.”
