Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the Chairman of the Congress of Deputies of the Kingdom of Spain, Francesca Armengol, on January 23.

Axar.az reports that Prime Minister A. Asadov expressed his condolences to F. Armengol regarding the numerous casualties caused by the train accident that occurred in Spain a few days ago.

It was noted at the meeting that the existing relations between Azerbaijan and Spain demonstrate positive dynamics in various fields, and it was noted that interstate relations are based on the principles of friendship and mutual respect.

The issues of interparliamentary cooperation were touched upon, emphasizing the importance of mutual visits and contacts at the parliamentary level.

The prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various areas, especially trade and economic, investment, energy, including renewable energy, transport, and other areas, were discussed.
