Italy recalls its ambassador to Switzerland

Italy has recalled its ambassador to Switzerland.

Axar.az informs that Bloomberg reported on this.

It was reported that the reason for this was the decision to release Jacques Moretti, the co-founder of the burning bar in Crans-Montana, where more than 40 people died.

Thus, when Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani demanded that Ambassador Gian Lorenzo Cornado contact the local prosecutor's office to condemn the decision to release Moretti, they also recalled the ambassador.

It should be noted that 6 Italian citizens died and 10 were injured in a fire that broke out in the club on January 1.
