Iran backs diplomacy but will defend itself

We believe that war and conflict do not serve the interests of any party, and we prefer the path of interaction and diplomacy, but we do not hesitate to defend ourselves.

Axar.az reports that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said this in a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Pezeshkian also commented on the US proposal for negotiations:

"If America aspires to real diplomacy, it must stop provocative actions."

It should be noted that Pezeshkian and Shehbaz Sharif also discussed the development of the situation in the Middle East in the telephone conversation and expressed their intention to continue diplomatic dialogue.
