Trump asks Putin to pause attacks on Kyiv

US President Donald Trump has asked his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, to halt attacks on the capital Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities for a week due to the freezing weather.

Axar.az reports that the American leader said this at a meeting with journalists at the White House.

"Extremely cold weather... They are in the same situation as us. That is why I personally asked President Putin to refrain from shelling Kyiv and other cities and towns for a week during this period. This is not just cold. This is unusually cold. There are also record cold weather there," he said.
