Putin and Sharaa did not discuss Assad’s extradition

The issue of extraditing former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was not raised during talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, “No, it was not discussed,” the Kremlin representative said when asked whether the topic of extradition had been raised during yesterday’s talks.

Peskov noted that the negotiations focused primarily on bilateral trade and economic relations and their development.
