During his speech in the Bundestag, he said that “the opportunity to accept the logic of the market is that Europe must maintain its influence in international politics.”

“We can only implement our ideas in the world if Europe learns to speak the language of power politics and becomes a real power,” the Chancellor said.

According to his position, changes in US policy and the development of competition between great powers are confronting Europe with new realities.
