Turkiye offers to mediate between Iran and the US

Turkiye is ready to mediate to resolve tensions between Iran and the United States and intends to maintain relevant relations.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this in an interview with the "Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat" newspaper.

"We confirm that we are ready to play the role of mediator between Iran and the United States to reduce tensions and resolve problems, and we will continue our relations on this issue. We have expressed our opposition to any military operation against Iran on all platforms," he noted.

Erdogan noted that Turkiye coordinates its steps with its partners in the region:

"Our relations with friendly countries, including Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, continue. We do not approach this issue with the idea of a bloc or alliance," the Turkish leader emphasized.
