The United States and Israel must stop destroying historical monuments and heritage sites in Iran.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Mao Ning, the official spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while commenting on the destruction of historic sites in Iran, including those listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

"World cultural heritage is a precious asset for all humanity. China deeply regrets the damage to Iranian historical artifacts and sites caused by the war, and urges all parties to the conflict, particularly the United States and Israel, to immediately and fully cease military actions, promptly initiate dialogue and negotiations, and bring an end as soon as possible to this war, which should never have occurred" she noted.
