If Iran talks fail, military option will be considered

"Israel will give diplomacy a chance until the minute when President Trump decides we should move to another path,” Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said.

Axar.az reports, speaking in an interview with Al Arabiya English, Saar said Israel is closely aligned with Washington’s approach to Iran.

US President Donald Trump is currently prioritizing measures that are “hurting Iran economically,” Saar said, adding that diplomacy remains the preferred track for now.

Saar dismissed suggestions that Israel has excessive influence over US decision-making, calling such claims “ridiculous,” and insisted that President Trump acts independently in shaping US policy.

“President Trump himself has said Israel did not drag him into this war,” he said, adding: “He is a strong and bold leader.”

The Israeli foreign minister reiterated that both countries share the same strategic goal of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which he described as “the most radical regime on earth.”

Saar said that outcome could be achieved through a negotiated settlement if Tehran agrees to US demands, including removing enriched uranium from its territory and ending enrichment activities permanently.
