Details have emerged regarding what are described as US conditions in ongoing negotiations with Iran.
Axar.az reports, citing Fars News Agency, Washington’s response to Iran’s proposals includes five main conditions.
1- Zero Compensation: The United States will not pay any reparations or damages to Iran.
2- Uranium Transfer: Iran must export and deliver 400 kilograms of enriched uranium to the US.
3- Nuclear Facilities Restriction: Only a single Iranian nuclear facility complex will be permitted to remain operational.
4- Frozen Assets: The US refuses to release even 25% of Iran’s frozen assets.
5- Negotiation-Linked Ceasefire: A halt to hostilities across all fronts remains strictly conditional upon ongoing negotiations.
The reports stress that even if Iran were to meet these sweeping conditions, the threat of potential US and Israeli aggression would still remain in place.
Political analysts argue that the US proposal appears less a genuine attempt at resolution than an effort to achieve strategic objectives through diplomacy that Washington has been unable to secure militarily.
In contrast, Iranian positions set out five preconditions for entering negotiations.
1- Comprehensive Ceasefire: An immediate end to the war across all fronts, with a specific emphasis on Lebanon.
2- Sanctions Relief: The lifting of all anti-Iranian sanctions.
3- Asset Release: The unfreezing and repatriation of all blocked Iranian funds.
4- War Reparations: Compensation for damages incurred during the conflict.
5- Maritime Sovereignty: Recognition of Iran’s sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz.
